3 short | The first 64 Kbytes of operating memory are faulty |
4 short | A system clock is faulty |
5 short | A processor is faulty |
6 short | A keyboard controller is faulty |
7 short | A motherboard is faulty |
8 short | An error of video memory |
9 short | BIOS check sum is incorrect |
10 short | A write error in CMOS-memory |
11 short | An error of cash-memory |
1 long and 2 short | A video adapter is faulty |
1 long and 3 short | |
2 long and 2 short | An error of a floppy disk controller |
No tones | A power supply or motherboard are faulty |

1 long and 2 short | No video adapter was detected or an error of video memory |
1 long and 3 short | Depending on BIOS version such tone may mean an error of video adapter or an error of keyboard |
3 long | An error of keyboard controller |
1 long and 9 short | An error of BIOS reading or BIOS microchip is faulty |
2 short | Non-critical error was detected. Such tone is usually accompanied by a message on a display with more specific description of an error. A user may continue booting by pressing F1 or enter BIOS Setup by pressing Delete |
No tones | A power supply or motherboard are faulty |
