There are usually several constant parameters with information about the system in the section “Standard CMOS Features” (or Main). In some versions of BIOS these parameters can be stored in a separate subsection “System Information”. The most frequently used informational parameters are following:
- Base Memory and Extended Memory – the amount of the base and extended memory accordingly;
- Total Memory (Installed Memory, System Memory Size) – a total amount of installed memory;
- BIOS Version – information about BIOS manufacturer, date of manufacture and the current version number;
- Processor Type, Processor Speed – information about the processor manufacturer, its model and the current clock frequency. In some cases, here you can also find additional information, for example, the size of cache memory L1/L2.
